Quarantine Stories – Day 26

Wednesday, April 8, 2020 – Day 26 of Quarantine

Not much has changed. Still doing what work I can, though it is really hard to focus.

I talked to my therapist again yesterday. She had suggested that I try to go for a walk at lunch, so Becky and I did about a mile-and-a-half loop through a neighboring subdivision. It was fine, though I could tell that I haven’t been walking in a while.

Becky went out yesterday morning and this morning looking for toilet paper. Then this afternoon she went out to several stores “just to see what they had”. Not the smartest idea, I would think, but I won’t tell her what she can and cannot do.

Her son Rodney brought us some masks; the kind they use in construction when kicking up a lot of dust. Probably not the most effective against viruses, but still probably better than nothing.

In pandemic response, some places are talking about reopening already, some restaurants are going out of business, and the government is apparently seizing medical supplies to redistribute using who-knows-what criteria.

And Georgia is still on lockdown.

I never thought I would get this tired of just staying at home.
